Well, it has been quite awhile since I last blogged. I don't know where to begin. The house seems to be the main questions. The house is for sale. We have a signed offer on the house and waiting for a few things to get finalized so we can set the closing date. As far as the contractor issues, he has filed for bankruptcy with over 103 debtors. We have a case pending on recovering some of our extra costs that we have put into the house and also the burden to prove his fraud. I will update as the trial gets set and we move forward. The house stuff has sent us on an emotional roller coaster for over 2 years now. We will need some time to process everything before we talk or write about all of it. As we go through trial paper work we are constantly go through alot of the emotions constantly, it is hard on us. No one should go through what we did. I am going to keep the house stuff off this website and concentrate on the wonderful family time we now have since we are living together again.
Travis accepted a position at OPPD in Fort Calhoun, NE. In July we moved to Omaha. Since the move we have had some amazing family time. Just the simple giggles laughs and family dinners that we had been missing for so long. Travis is really enjoying his job.
In August we had our marathon of birthdays. Marisa turned 5. I can't believe she is already 5! When did she grow up? It seems like yesterday that I held her for the first time. She got to celebrate her birthday in school. At first she was not excited about it but then she realized it was really cool. She got to share her birthday celebration with 29 other people then come home to share it with all of us. She has never had that many people sing Happy Birthday to her and she thought it was cool. She got cards and a birthday hat from school. Brayden turned 2. Wow,2! He has gone through this little growth spurt or leap. He has gotten taller and I got to go out and get 2T clothes for him. The still fall off his skinny little body but he needs the length. Good thing mom has a sewing machine to help that out a little. He is picking up so many words suddenly. He is also putting together small sentences. He has this amazing mind! Brayden can easily mimic anything you do, from opening doors to putting his shoes on. He is still a pro at teasing his sisters. He even kicks Bridget when they are both laying on the floor together (don't worry she kicks back.) I made Brayden a football cake for his birthday. He loved it! I know, a soccer ball will be next year. My birthday was also in August. I had an amazing day at the zoo and with the family that night.
Marisa started Kindergarten the week of her birthday. She was so excited. Not even scared the first day. She gave me a big hug and kiss and off she went. Marisa is learning so much and excelling in school. She is becoming a social butterfly! I love the smile she has when she comes home! She is still adjusting to the long days with no nap but doing well. Usually Thursday and Friday are the hard days. Rebecca started pre-preschool. She goes Tuesdays and Thursdays for a couple of hours. She is loving it! There is only one other girl in the class but that doesn't seem to be bothering her. Teacher is impressed with her knowing all her shapes, colors, and letters already. She just loves all the arts, crafts, songs, play time and new friends.
Brayden is becoming a wonderful big brother. He loves his little sister and makes sure he spends lots of time around her. He also loves to play with Becca. Marisa has been keep to herself lately so Brayden is trying to play with her too but it is not welcoming yet. I just hope Marisa is going through a phase in life. As long as she is not too rude we are allowing her to have some alone time. Well, Bridget is up from her 10 min nap. I will be back to write more soon!
